Free Home Loan Health Check
When did you last check whether your home loan rate is still competitive? Lenders move their rates constantly — and they rarely pass the best deals on to existing customers. We'll compare your current loan against 60+ lenders and tell you honestly whether you're paying too much.
A home loan health check is a free, no-obligation review of your current home loan. We look at your rate, your fees, your loan structure and your features (offset, extra repayments, fixed/variable split) and compare them against what's available across our panel of 60+ lenders. If your loan is still competitive, we'll tell you. If it's not, we'll show you what you could save by switching.
What we check
- Interest rate. Is your rate still sharp, or has your lender let it drift above the market? We compare it against current rates from 60+ lenders for your loan type and LVR.
- Fees. Are you paying package fees, monthly fees or other charges that a different lender wouldn't charge? Some loans bundle fees into an annual charge; others charge separately.
- Loan structure. Is your fixed/variable split still working for you? Is your interest-only period about to expire? Has your LVR dropped below 80%, which might unlock better rates or remove LMI?
- Features. Do you have an offset account, and is it working for you? Can you make extra repayments? Are you using the features you're paying for?
- Borrowing capacity. Has your income or property value changed since you took out the loan? You may be able to borrow more or access equity that wasn't available before.
How it works
The process is simple. You tell us a few details about your current loan — the lender, the rate, the balance, the property value. We run the comparison across our panel and come back to you with a clear summary: here's what you're paying now, here's what's available, and here's whether the savings are worth the switching costs.
If the answer is to stay put, we'll say so — there's no point refinancing for a tiny saving. If the numbers make sense, we'll handle the switch from start to finish, including the application, the paperwork, and the coordination with both lenders.
How often should you check? We recommend a health check every 12-18 months, or whenever your circumstances change — a new job, a pay rise, a property revaluation, or a fixed rate coming to an end. It takes us 15 minutes to run the numbers, and it could save you thousands.
What it costs you
Nothing. The lender pays us a commission for introducing the loan — you don't pay us a fee. If we recommend staying with your current lender, there's no commission at all. We'll tell you exactly what we earn before you commit, in writing, as the law requires.
Get your rate reviewed
Give us what you know and we will tell you whether your rate has drifted, what switching would cost, and whether it is worth doing. If your loan is already competitive we will say so.
- More than 60 lenders compared
